Student Artist Statement: I drew myself surrounded by color and words in a messy and sketchy style. I thought that the messy and sketchy style, using watercolor and charcoal was representative of my art style and my personality. I chose the color palette with the yellowed paper and smudge-factor in mind, and everything was tied together with paint splatters and smudges.
